Continuing the '800 year' celebrations of St Mary’s, Chidham 'The Friends of Chidham Churches' programme of events has a special concert planned in March.
Saturday March 20th Concert – 'Life and Music through the centuries'
At St Mary's Chidham at 7.30pm.
Our next event will be another entertaining and interesting concert. It will feature a baroque ensemble, a brass group, organ and choral music with the Chidham choir. We will transport you back to the 13th Century, and then gently lead you through the centuries back to the present day. There will be music in chronological order from each period of history (13th to 21st centuries), interspersed with short historical comments about the music and times. Rod Starr has put together a great programme with a lively ending. It's a concert of two halves with our splendid interval refreshments all going to make up an enjoyable and sociable evening,
