Bognor Regis Motor Club is organising a daylight navigational event for historic cars on Saturday 24th October 2009.

The start is at Brookfield Hotel, Emsworth from 09.00 hrs and after a 140-mile route through the roads of West Sussex and Hampshire, participants will return to Emsworth for the finish from 17:00 hrs. We hope to have an entry of about 50 crews driving cars registered prior to 1981. The event is essentially an exercise in navigational skills with average speeds not exceeding 30 mph and at most times less than that. Check points will be established at regular intervals along the route to ensure strict compliance with the speed schedule. In accordance with the RAC Motor Sports Association regulations governing this event, I wish to inform you that the event will be passing through or close to the parish in the morning

Route: .....A259 (Main Road)-Delling Lane-Taylors Lane-Shore Road-Lower Hone Lane-Smugglers Lane-Hoe Lane-Park Lane-Old Park Lane-A259-Salthill Road-Fishbourne Roman Palace......

I sincerely hope that you will not be unduly inconvenienced by the event and should you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours faithfully

Michael Briggs - Clerk of the Course
